New One Of A Kind Handspun Newborn Beanies

I've been working a lot with handspun yarn lately. I'm practicing a lot with a drop spindle I bought from Fiber Me Up. Yes, I am addicted! While I'm still learning how to get the right thick and thin yarn that I like, I've been supporting fellow Etsians and purchasing their yarns :) I wish I had known about these types of thick and thin photo props when my daughter Hailey Jean was born 10 months ago... they are really cute on newborns!

Clicking the links on the photos will take you to it's listing in my shop if you would like to purchase!

Crochet Newborn Baby Girl Handspun Thick and Thin Beanie - Petunia Garden
The yarn is a beautiful blend of purple and green merino wool. This colorway reminds me of a beautiful garden of purple petunia flowers. This was a ooak (one of a kind) yarn purchased from Spinning Wheel Studio.

Crochet Newborn Handspun Thick and Thin Beanie - Victorian
The yarn is a merino/bamboo blend. It's very yummy soft! The yarn was purchased from the amazing SpinUpGirlFibers. It has a beautiful shine!

Crochet Newborn Gnome or Pixie Style Handspun Thick and Thin Beanie - Safari
The yarn is a beautiful blend of yellow and brown with a natural cream color trim. The colors also remind me of fallen autumn leaves or the colors of a lion's mane! This beautiful yarn is from Heart Strings By Dee.

New Yarn, New Items, New ADDICTION!

I recently discovered a new type of yarn-handspun thick n thin merino wool. It has thick puffs and thin twists which makes a very cool stitch pattern. This yarn is typically one-of-a-kind (or OOAK). I purchase this yarn from fellow etsy sellers because us Etsians are awesome!

This is the first crochet beanie/photo prop I made, and my first time ever using the yarn. I love the texture. I love the softness of the wool. Yes, I'm addicted. I since then bought two more skeins and made these:

These hats make the perfect addition to a photographers prop stash! They are chunky in style, which makes a newborn baby look so cute and even more tiny!

I really love these hats... Makes me wish I was a photographer.

Since this is a serious new ADDICTION, you will be seeing more of these in more amazing colors!

These are posted on my Facebook Page as well. Become a fan to receive a 20% off coupon to use in my Etsy Shop. The code can be found in the Coupon Code photo album. :)

Chunky Crochet Earflap Beanie in Pistache and Turquoise

My handmade crochet chunky earflap beanie is made with 100% soft cotton yarn in the colors Pistache and Turquoise. Pistache is a beautiful light green, kind of like Pistachio. The two colors go very well together and make for a really fun photo shoot! The big rose is made in turquoise to match the trim, and it is securely sewn to the hat. The braids are made using the same colors.

I wanted to pick two colors that were really fun and bright. I picked up these two skeins of yarn and held them together and immediately fell in love! I then had to decide on what kind of hat to make with them... Since I don't have very many earflap hats for girls, I figured this would be perfect.

I'm so excited for this hat! It is really pretty and a perfect photo prop or for everyday wear. It is available all sizes, from preemie to adult. You may purchase this hat from my Etsy Shop. And if you're like me, I always look for discounts or coupons. Become a fan of my Facebook Page and look for my current coupon codes in my photos album.

More photos of this chunky earflap beanie can be found in this photo album on my Facebook Page.

Hope you like it as much as I do!
